Drakyn

Begotten as slaves of the powerful dragon race that came before them, drakyn derived much of their power, culture, and elitism from their draconic origin. If there is anything drakyn is known for, it would be their inability to accept that their existence were merely disposable tools for their forebearers; this drives their obsession to return to their draconic roots by any mean necessary. Typical drakyn tend to be extreme in personality with a strong inclination toward elitism. Despite their intimidating appearance and erratic behaviors, they make some of the best adventurers around thanks to their martial and magical skills.

Historically, drakyn is one of the youngest races made in the image of man and dragons. When the dragons ruled the world, drakyn were their faithful slave, catering to the overlord's every need and desire. Although they were a station above kobold, who also served, they were treated with much disdain. It wasn't until after the Draconic War that drakyns were freed from the dragon's control. Legends had it that many of these freed slaves stole from the dragon's hoard and used it to establish some of the most power empires today.
